Publishers can submit their journal and citation data below. The impact factor is computed using the international 2-year methodology (citations in the target year to items published in the two preceding years, divided by the number of those citable items). Our team reviews every application before an official value and certificate are issued.

Citation data (2-year impact factor) — optional

If you have citation figures, enter them for a citation-based impact factor. No citation data? You can leave everything below blank — our team will evaluate your journal on quality criteria and assign an impact factor. For year Y, citations recorded in Y to items published in Y-1 and Y-2, and how many citable items were published in each of those two years.

Total citations recorded in Y to articles your journal published in Y-1 and Y-2.
How many citable articles your journal published in the year before Y (Y-1).
How many citable articles your journal published two years before Y (Y-2).

Optional — 5-year impact factor

The 5-year impact factor uses the five years before Y (Y-5–Y-1). Leave blank if you don't want a 5-year figure.

Total citations in Y to everything your journal published across the previous five years (Y-5–Y-1).
Total citable articles your journal published across those five years (Y-5–Y-1).

Alternate method — no recent-year data?

If your journal doesn't have year-by-year figures (for example, it didn't publish in the last year, or the data isn't available), leave the two-year fields blank and use this instead. We'll compute an overall citation impact = total citations ÷ total articles.
